- Well this is all new to me. I've never taken an online course before nor have I done a blog before so I hope I do ok. I am currently working at the VA Hospital in Phoenix. I work in the housekeeping department and my assigned area of the hospital is the Out Patient Mental Health Clinic (Jade/Opal). I have been working here for 3 months now and I find it very rewarding. I work directly with the Recreation Therapy department as well. This week I told everyone about my classes and they are more than willing to help me with whatever assignments that I have to do. My interview will be with the Recreation Therapy Department Supervisor, Lynn Hambel and I will be doing my Service Learning Experience with the Recreation Therapists in the Community Learning Center or Nursing Home of the VA Hospital. They are all a wonderful team to be working with and I am very honored to be able to work with them.
I think its equally fun as it is important for both. Great question.
